For this project your team will interview a teacher/sponsor on our campus that has a display case. This goal is for your team to create an appealing visual merchandising display for that teacher/sponsor. To achieve the goal your team must first interview the teacher/sponsor. Based on their expectations you will then sketch a mock-up of what the case will look like (you'll need to add appropriate notes to help convey your message) and get approval from the teacher/sponsor. You will then assemble the necessary materials and create the visual merchandising display.
You will receive a formative grade for the notes you take on the interview and for the sketch (one grade for both). You will receive a summative grade for the completed case. You will also need to critique your team and assign grades per the rubric below:

Design Concept
Team turns in a complete, interesting, and completely justified rationale for their design concept based on client interview.

Design Details
The design captures the theme of the display by including several details that accurately reflect the wants/needs of the client.

Client wants/needs are missing from the design.
Display Sketch
Renderings look professional. Clean, neat, no creases. Could be placed in a working portfolio.
Renderings look clean, with barely noticeable smudges and creases.
Renderings look like they have been revised frequently with a few noticeable eraser marks and creases. Needs redoing to put in portfolio.
Renderings are dirty , smudged, and creased. They have not been done with pride.
Completed Case
Display case accurately reflects design elements and details seen in renderings.
Display case reflects most design elements & details seen in renderings.
Display case shows the basics, but lacks many of the design details.
No case completed OR case is seriously incomplete.
Group Participation
Helps group stay focused and contributions greatly helped the group achieve its goals.
